New Delhi: The caravan of the T20 World Cup with the victorious world champions, Team India has finally reached the doorsteps of PM Modi. Team India landed in Delhi in the early hours of Thursday after being stranded in Barbados due to a devastating hurricane.
Before heading on to the PM’s residence, Rohit and his boys had a little ‘dance’ celebration. Following this the team went on to check in at their hotel at ITC Maurya.

Inside the hotel a special tri-colour cake as well as tri-colour drinks. Suryakumar Yadav who was instrumental in the important catch of David Miller, was seen in the merrymaking with the fans outside the hotel. Joining Yadav was Pant and Mohammad Siraj who acknowledged the brave fans.
Meeting the Prime Minister…
Indian Prime Minister had already sent his warm wishes to the victorious team upon lifting the cup in the Caribbean. Modi had congratulated the entire team over a phone call. However, a formal breakfast was organised in the morning to complete the proceedings.
The entire arrived at the PM residence in the morning as they had a flight to catch for Mumbai. Modi sat down with the players once the breakfast was done for an hour.

The team will now move to Mumbai for the open bus parade which is set to take place from the Marine Drive to the Wankhede Stadium. A similar roadshow was done when the Men in Blue won the inaugural edition of the T20 World Cup, 17 years ago.
