Tokyo Olympics: Coach proposes to Argentina Fencer on LIVE TV, Watch VIDEO

New Delhi: Tokyo Olympics is coming up with outlandish camera moments every now and then. One such endearing moments has been floating on the internet when Argentina Fencer Maria Belen Perez Maurice was proposed by her long-term coach Lucas Saucedo while she was talking to the media after one of her matches.

This was the second time coach Lucas has carried out such an stunt on live TV.

Back in 2010, Lucas Saucedo posed a similar question to which the three-time Olympian gave a puzzled reaction as she  exclaimed, “Is it a joke or what?”, at the world championship in Paris.

After 11 years of ignominy, Maria Belen finally accepted her coach’s proposal. The couple has been in a relationship for 17 years.

Perez Maurice said to the media that she was “speechless” after Lucas proposed to her in front of the camera.

She later added that the couple is going to celebrate the happy event around a traditional barbecue party in Argentina.
