New Delhi: While England and Australia fought it out in the ongoing Ashes series, an event off the field became the spotlight of Day 3 of the game.
Rob, an England cricket fan went down on his knee and proposed to an Australian fan, leaving everybody around perplexed, puzzled but delighted.
In the video, English fan could be seen popping the question to his Australian girlfriend Nat in the morning session of the Test match.
As the duo were dressed in Britain & Australian clothing, they hogged all the limelight and became the newsmaker of the day.
English fan first distracted his Australian girlfriend by pointing out that they were being seen on big screen.
“I’m going to keep this short and sweet,” Rob said.
“It’s been four years. Will you marry me?”, he asked.

The woman has seen enjoying a glass of beer when she was taken by surprise by her beau. The memorable moment was caught on the giant screen at the stadium and after the proposal, it also left the cricket fans laughing as it wrote ‘Decision Pending’.
After a while, the girl nodded in yes and the duo hugged and kissed while the audience cheered for the memorable moment.
Similar lovey-dovey moment of 2017
The light moment was enough to bring broad smile on faces of spectators. However, similar event happened during the Ashes Test at Gabba.
