People have been mocking him and expressing their disappointment on twitter. The batter failed to impress the cricket fans after scoring 63 runs at an average of 12.60. On day of the match, he scored 17 runs off 42 balls. The Right Hander really needs a strong comeback to shut his critics and to survive in the field.

Who is Rajat Patidar?  

Rajat Manohar Patidar was born on 1st June 1993, he is a right-handed top order batter and off-spinner. He plays for domestic cricket in Madhya Pradesh and for the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL. He completed his schooling and graduation from Indore University. He made his debut in 2015 in the Ranji Trophy. He was the leading run scorer for Madhya Pradesh in 2017-2018. He made his ODI debut in 2023 against South Africa where he scored 22 runs in 16 balls. Rajat Patidar was named as the replacement for Virat Kohli in India’s squad for the 1st two matches of the test series against England. He however started his career as a bowler and later focused on batting after his U-15 levels. Rajat Patidar’s father is a businessmen and he joined a cricket club when he was 8 years old.
