New Delhi: Men’s Indian cricket team, captained by opening batter Shikhar Dhawan, has arrived in Trinidad for a 3-match ODI series against West Indies. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) tweeted a video to announce that the Indian team has reached the Caribbean. Captioning the video, BCCI wrote, “Trinidad – WE ARE HERE!”

In the video, India’s star leg spinner Yuzvendra Chahal can be seen showing a victory sign to the camera. Along with Chahal, Shreyas Iyer, Ishan Kishan, Avesh Khan, Mohammed Siraj and Prasidh Krishna can be spotted along with the rest of the squad and support staff in the video.
Both the teams will compete in 3 ODIs and 5 T20I games on the tour. This will also be the last T20I series for India before the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in Australia. Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah were given rest by the selection committee, while Rohit Sharma will play only the T20Is. In the absence of Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan will captain the side in the ODIs, along with Ravindra Jadeja as the vice-captain.
