The recovery rate has reached another high of 64.51% amongst COVID-19 patients. With such consistent increase in recoveries, the gap between recovered patients and active COVID-19 cases currently stands at 4,78,582.

From mid-June 2020 after crossing the 50% mark in Recovery Rate, there is a steady increase in the recovered patients and decline in the number of active cases. 63.25% of the COVID-19 patients have recovered, so far.

During the last 24 hours 3,20,161 samples have been tested. The cumulative number of samples tested, as of now is 1,24,12,664. The testing per million for India is consistently rising. Today it has touched 8994.7.

Group of Ministers (GoM) meeting under the chairmanship of Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan was being held through video conferencing.

The Joint Secretary said that India's fatality rate due to COVID-19 was much less than other countries with a high number of cases.

India has lowest number of Covid-19 cases as compared to other countries. Fatality rate due to Coronavirus is also among the lowest in the world.
