New Delhi: Millions of users across the globe were exhausted from repeatedly refreshing their feeds and yet being unable of sending text messages on the video-sharing platform Instagram on Tuesday night.
Many reportedly kept deleting and reinstalling their Insta app, while some further took the matter with their service providers, yet the issue didn’t resolve for hours.
However, the frustrated users got all their answers when they moved to the microblogging site Twitter, where ‘#InstagramDown’ was trending on the top with users across the globe reporting similar problems regarding the functioning of the platform.
In a span of few hours, the Insta malfunction drew an unbeatable meme fest by Netizens, joined in by hilarious GIFs online.
A Twitter user name Ankita Roy Chaudhary shared a snap from Hindi comedy-drama Phir Hera Pheri with Akshay Kumar and Johnny Lever running ahead of a crowd with caption, “People rushing to Twitter, to confirm whether Instagram is really down or not”.

Meanwhile, if media reports are to be believed, the event of Instagram going down was not erupted by due to internet issues, but due to a technical glitch on behave of the app itself.
The snag further remained for atleast 12 hours on Tuesday.
