Rockstar Games likely to announce ‘GTA 6’: Here’s complete list of expected updates, storylines, gameplay, maps

New Delhi: Most burning question in the gaming industry right now is when Rockstar Games will announce “GTA 6”. Fans are also hoping that Rockstar Games can also surprise them with an announcement that GTA 3, GTA Vice City, and GTA San Andreas are being remastered and re-released for the PS5 and Xbox Series X.

All of the speculations about the announcement of “GTA 6” was started by Reddit user ItsTreDay on the game’s subreddit. According to it, GTA 6 might be announced the Super Bowl 55 on Feb. 7.

The speculation is actually based on The Weekend at the event’s halftime show. “It’s taking place in Florida again, and The Weeknd is performing at half time,”. “There were tons of rumors of him working with Rockstar last year when his album was announced.”

“I could see a 15-30 second commercial of a car starting up or a cinematic shot of whatever city the game takes place in followed by the Rockstar and GTA VI logo being a VERY SLIGHT possibility,” the Reddit user said

Another debate is also going on among the GTA fans is ‘will it be located in Vice City, Liberty City, or elsewhere?’.

The first two locations are beloved cities within the GTA universe. What makes them so interesting is how different they are. Vice City is bright, colorful, and mostly flat (in terms of terrain), whereas Liberty City is dark, gloomy, and a little more varied in map design.

Of course, it is vital to note that neither location has been confirmed as the next destination within GTA 6. This article is entirely conjecture, so it shouldn’t be considered confirmation for anything involving GTA 6. With that out of the way, players reading this article can focus on the pros and cons of the two locations and arrive at their own conclusion for what would be better in GTA 6.

1. Codename is PROJECT AMERICAS.
2. Set in both Vice City and a new fictional location based on Rio de Janeiro.
3. Some linear missions take place in Liberty City, but it isn’t an open world (think Ludendorff in GTA 5).
4. Game will balance realism and arcade and it won’t be as realistic as Red Dead Redemption 2.
5. One playable protagonist: male, not female, despite supposed leaks.
6. Set in 1970s-1980s.
7. You play as an up and coming drug lord-wannabe named “Ricardo”. Another key character called “Kacey” is a part of the narrative. You start off as a grunt doing runs as a cocaine smuggler from Vice City to the new large South American area before making connections with big-time drug lords and making your way up. Multiple cities.
8. There will also be a giant prison which will play a part in the game.
9. Will feature a ‘chapter’ system similar to a Tarantino flick or Red Dead Redemption 2.
10. Weather is a heavy focus (hurricanes, floods, etc).
11. Buildings change over the eras, vehicles too. So older, rare classic cars get more expensive as time progresses etc. Full economy.
12. Heavily inspired by Netflix’s Narcos.
13. They want to have an incredible 70s/80s soundtrack.
14. A younger Martin Madrazo will make an appearance as will his father who is a big drug lord at the time. You do some missions for the Madrazo family involving hits on other gangs.
15. Drug empire building is a mechanic similar to Vice City Stories but bigger. Think the GTA Online system and dial it up to 10.
16. You can only have weapons on your person. No arsenal in your back pocket, like Red Dead Redemption 2.
17. Your personal vehicle will be like your horse saddle in Red Dead Redemption 2. All your equipment is stored in the trunk. You also store your body armour in the car. If you wear it, it appears, no longer just an invisible thing.
18. There will be tons of subtitle reading. Think Max Payne 3 amounts, very immersive, like watching an episode of Narcos. Whenever you’re in South America, don’t expect to hear much English. Vice City, however, is a mix of everything, but mostly English.
19. Last bit of narrative info, it will discuss topics such as HIV and the immigration crisis of the time. A fictional version of Fidel Castro etc.
20. Next-gen only, not PS4 or Xbox One [aka PS5 and Xbox Project Scarlett]
21. GTA 6 is now their primary focus, alongside another title (which might be Bully 2).
22. Game is still in Pre-Alpha so names, locations, details could and probably will change.
