BJP may get 301 seats in UP, Yogi remains the top choice for CM: Survey

The results of the survey showed that if elections were held in the present situation, the BJP would form the government again

Lucknow: Amid poll buzz in Uttar Pradesh, a latest survey has projected the ruling Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) to get 301 assembly seats, with vote share of 44 percent in the coming state assembly elections.

The survey conducted by independent survey agency Matterize News Communication has predicted the clear win for the Bharatiya Janata Party. The survey was done to assess the current political situation in UP.

The results of the survey showed that if elections were held in the present situation, the BJP would form the government again. The survey results also dominated the popular social media platform ‘Twitter’ and #UPMATRIZESSurvey trended at number one for several hours.

According to the survey results, 44 percent of the people want a BJP government in UP. Samajwadi Party is at the poor second position with 32 percent votes.

Talking about the seats, SP may get 103 seats while, Mayawati-led BSP is projected to get only 9 to 14 seats with vote share of 14 percent. Congress is getting only 4 percent of votes and 4 to 8 seats, as per the survey.

According to the survey, CM Yogi is leading by a huge margin in the race of Chief Minister. About 45 percent of the people of UP are pitching for Yogi Adityanath as the CM followed by SP president Akhilesh Yadav with support of just 21 percent.

There is no good news for BSP chief Mayawati and Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi who could muster the support of 14 percent and 18 percent people respectively, according to survey findings.

The biggest reason for the increase in the graph of BJP in UP is attributed to the development work done by CM Yogi in the state. has put BJP at the forefront. Importantly, the survey tried to know from the people of the state about the criterion of voting, about 36 percent of the people put the Chief Minister candidate at the top.
