China Plane Crash: Horrific video shows passenger jet plunge in final seconds

Soon after the crash took place, the airline’s website and media handles were turned black and white, as a sign of respect

New Delhi: A China Airlines’ Boeing 737 aircraft carrying 123 passengers and 9 crew members, flying from Kunming to Guangzhou, crashed into the mountains in the country’s southern province of Guangxi today.

The casualties in the horrifying incident are still unknown, while China’s largest news daily Reuters quotes People’s Daily, that there were no signs of life among the scattered debris.

The latest footage in the pretext of the accident has emerged, caught by a local mining company’s security camera, as per the news reports.

In the video clip, the plane can be seen plunging towards the mountain with great speed before crashing into it and catching fire in its final seconds.

In another video shared by state-run CGTN, a news channel based in Beijing, several pieces of the aircraft can be seen scattered on the accident site.

In a couple of pics posted by CGTN, a part of the plane was found burning in the forest, a little far from the site.
