New Delhi: Gambia’s Vice-President Badara Alieu Joof died in India after a ‘brief illness’, informed President Adama Barrow said on Tuesday.
The 65-year-old Joof was appointed Vice-President of Gambia, a country in West Africa in 2022. In his previous role, he served as the country’s Education minister.

Taking to Twitter, Gambia President said that Joof had died “after a short illness”.
The Vice-President had reportedly left his country for medical treatment, about three weeks ago.
