New Delhi: Pakistan, beleaguered with economic challenges & rising cost of basic essentials, has another nightmare to deal with. Many big towns of the country went into dark since morning today, making life more difficult during the chilly weather.
From capital Islamabad to big towns like Karachi, Lahore & Peshawar, lakhs of homes have gone without electricity since morning.
According to Pak’s energy department, the power outage happened because of national grid failure however it added that it will be back within 12 hours.
As lakhs of homes in Pakistan suffer under darkness, people on the social media found a genuine reason to troll the ‘pauper’ state.
Remember, Pakistan reeling under severe debt and reports of turning ‘the Sri Lanka way’, where locals captured the President’s House due to burgeoning prices of foodgrains, has already made it a laughing stock.
Netizens are roasting the country for its inability to produce enough power for its citizens but making tall claims on the world stage and leaving no opportunity to equate itself with emerging Asian giant India.
