New Delhi: The Kuwait government has taken action against those who took part in the protests in Kuwait city, against the remarks made by former BJP leaders Nupur Sharma and Naveen Jindal on Prophet Mohammad.
The Kuwait government has issued instructions to arrest such protesters and send them back to their respective countries. The government further stated that ‘all migrants here should respect the laws and should not take part in any kind of demonstrations’.
Arab Times has reported that the protesters under question have violated the laws and rules of the county. In Kuwait, the expatriates are not allowed to organize sit-ins or protests in the country.
The All India Convener of Pragya Pravah, an affiliate of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), tweeted the news from its official handle on Sunday.
“Govt of Kuwait decided to deport Indians who conducted protest rally in Faraheel city of Kuwait against Prophet remarks by Nupur Sharma. Their Visa will be cancelled permanently and will be deported to India”, read the tweet.

According to the report, the police have been asked to send them to the deportation centre after arresting them, from where they will be sent to their respective countries. In addition, they will be permanently banned from entering Kuwait.
On June 10, after the Friday prayers, the migrants residing in Faheel had demonstrated protests while raising slogans of Allah-hu-Akbar and illllah…. Indian, Pakistani and Bangladeshi nationals are believed to be among these protesters.
Previously, the Pakistan Embassy in UAE had issued an advisory telling its citizens that protesting in the country is a crime under the law. “If any Pakistani is involved in this then he will have to face dire consequences under the law of UAE”, it added.

The Pakistani embassy had said that misuse of social media is also a crime in the UAE and had asked it’s citizens to avoid it. In the advisory, Pakistani citizens were asked to respect the local law.
