Who is Savera Prakash? Pakistan’s first Hindu woman set to contest General Elections

New Delhi: A Hindu woman is going to fight elections from Pakistan. The woman’s name is Savera Prakash and she is going to fight elections from the Buner district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for a general seat in the upcoming elections in Pakistan. The General elections are scheduled to take place on february 8th 2024. She has also submitted her nomination papers for the general seat in Buner district.

Who is Savera Prakash? 

Savera Prakash is a graduate from Abbottabad Medical college and is serving as the general secretary of PPP Women’s wing in Buner. She is known for her works and is quite popular among her colleagues and community. She is also an aspirant of competitive exams especially Central Superior Services. She has also emphasized on the development of women issues. During an interview she expressed her views on working for the underprivileged. she submitted her nomination papers on 23rd December and hoped that the senior leadership would support her. Savera comes from a medical background. She says that serving humanity is in my blood’. She has also received support from many political leaders in her political journey.

Savera wants to bring change in the lives of women and also ensure that the women must get education and better facilities in the society. She also said that involvement of women in politics will bring change in the country. She urged the youth to vote for her as she believes that only the youth has the potential to bring change in politics. Savera Prakash’s father is also a social worker and has always worked for the welfare of the people. Her father has also served for PPP for many years.
