‘Woman without Hijab is like a sliced melon’: Talibani’s misogynist mindset… WATCH

New Delhi: Soon after US troops exit, the Talibani fighters have captured power in war-torn Afghanistan and now their oppressive and tyrannical regime has begun.

Repeated incidents of violence against moderate voices and oppression of women activists are being reportedly daily. Talibs have already pronounced that women’s liberties will be curtailed and will be allowed ‘freedom’ only under Shariat law.

It has already banned co-ed schools in Afghanistan and blamed the ‘mixing of sexes’ for existing evils in society.

Now, a video of Talibani militants is doing rounds on social media, which shows their misogynistic and pervert mindset about women.

A BBC journalist took to Twitter to share the video in which a Talibani official is seen making an appalling comparison in justifying the hijab.

“Do you buy a sliced melon or an intact melon. Of course the intact one. A woman without a hijab is like a sliced melon,” Talibani official says in the video in reference to hijab.

Such brazen comparison of women with consumables speaks volumes about its filthy and misogynistic mindset.
