New Delhi: The second season of Rajneeti – Abar Rajneeti, a political drama created by Hoichoi, is scheduled to premiere on May 24. There was a lot of excitement around the first season of Rajneeti last year, which starred Ditipriya Roy, Kaushik Ganguly, and others. The new season, directed by Sourav Chakraborty, will include plenty of family strife around the late Rathin Banerjee.

Plot
At the end of the previous season, Rathin had a heart attack while campaigning for office, and his wife Mallika became party leader immediately after. After finding out that Mallika may have planned Rathin’s murder, Rashi – their daughter, also resolves to get into politics. A ruckus in Rijpur politics is in store when the mother and daughter square off.
After 20 years, Rathin’s elder brother – Pratim returns to Rijpur, disguised as a monk, according to the narrative. Tensions in the area’s political climate have risen with the announcement of the by-election. Mallika, the current head of the Lokmanya Sewak Dal, is determined to retain her seat for herself.
Sounak is the son of party investor Sougata, and Rashi is married to him. A potential source of friction between Rashi and Pratim is hinted at by Mallika. The reappearance of Pratim will expose long-lost connections and money market schemes.
Rashi realized the hard way that political truths change with the times. Trust and treachery will play major roles in the plot, as will an unequal struggle between the strong and the worthy, a criminal’s confession, and feelings of remorse.

Cast and Crew
Ditipriya Roy is back as Rashi, the daughter of Mallika Banerjee (Konineeca Banerjee) and political heavyweight Rathin Banerjee (Kaushik Ganguly).
Rathin’s elder, Pratim Banerjee, is also portrayed by Kaushik Ganguly. At the same time, Aniruddha Gupta portrays Debojit and Arjun Chakrabarty plays Sounak.
Sourav Chakraborty’s partnerships with Hoichoi have expanded to include Abar Rajneeti.
