New Delhi: After the weeklong lockdown announcement in Delhi, the metro services were also curtailed, owing to 6-day lockdown.
Delhi Metro curtailed its services in non-peak hours and announced that ‘normal services’ will remain operational during 8-10AM and 5-7 PM peak hours.
Today, the DMRC tweaked its guidelines and made fresh announcements.
As per the DMRC statement, Delhi Metro services will be available during the morning (7 AM to 11 AM) and evening (4 PM to 8 PM) across the network with a headway (frequency) of 15 minutes.

During the rest of the day, the Delhi Metro trains across the network will be available with a frequency of 30 minutes only.
During this period, Metro services can be availed only by those exempted category of people, the circular read.
During the lockdown period, travel will be allowed only upto 50 per cent seating capacity in the Metro. In addition, no standing passenger shall be allowed during the travel.
In addition, standby trains on each line shall be available for inducting into services as per requirement, said the DMRC circular.
