New Delhi: Union Health minister Dr Harsh Vardhan will chair a meeting with health ministers of all states and Union Territories on Thursday. In the high-level meet, the Union Minister will review the preparedness of states and UTs for conducting dry run for Covid-19 vaccination.
The meeting will be held via video conference at 12:30 PM.
2 vaccines namely Covaxin and Covishield have got emergency use approval by the drug regulator for vaccination people against the contagious disease.
To facilitate the vaccination process, a software named Co-WIN has been developed by the Health Ministry for real time information of vaccine stocks, their storage temperature and individualized tracking of beneficiaries for COVID-19 vaccine.
A dedicated 24×7 call centre has also been established for technical queries of Co-WIN users. The cold chain infrastructure along with sufficient supplies of syringes and other logistics have been ensured to begin COVID-19 vaccination drive.
About 1.70 lakh vaccinators and 3 lakh vaccination team members have been trained on the process to be followed at the vaccination sites.
