India records 2,00,739 new Covid-19 cases and 1,038 deaths in 24 hrs, highest single-day spike

The Union Health Ministry on Thursday said that over  2,00,739 new Covid-19 cases and 1,038 deaths has been recorded in the last 24 hours in the Country.

In the last 24 hours, 1,038 COVID-related deaths were reported in the country taking the death toll to 1,73,123.

The active number of cases stands at 14,71,877.

In the last 24 hours, 93,528 people recovered from the disease. With this, the total recoveries reached 1,24,29,564.

Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said that over 26,20,03,415 samples has been tested for COVID19 up to 14th April 2021, including 13,84,549 samples that were tested yesterday.
