New Delhi: Amid the gloomy economic scenario, the State Bank of India (SBI) has launched a major recruitment drive for the post of Probationary Officers (PO), bringing loud cheers from PO aspirants as well as markets.
When the job market is under immense stress, the notification for recruitment for 2,000 POs in the public lender has come as a welcome move. The SBI PO 2020 Application Process has begun @ ibpsonline.ibps.in. The pay scale for SBI POs are in the range of 23700-980/7-30560-1145/2-32850-1310/7-42020.
Candidates who get shortlisted for appointment after qualifying the selection process will be posted as Probationary Officers in SBI.

How to apply for SBI PO post
Step 1: Visit official website — sbi.co.in
Step 2: Click on “Careers” tab, then got to “Current Openings”
Step 3: Click on “Apply Online” Link under Recruitment of Probationary Officers
Step 4: Click on New Registration tab
Step 5: Post your verified credentials including Name, DOB, Contact Info and other details
Step 6: Upload scanned Photograph & Signature. Photograph should be coloured passport size & Signature should be in Black Ink pen
Step 7: Fill up the Application form
Step 8: Pay the Application fee via Debit/Credit Card or Internet Banking
Step 9: Download e-receipt of fee payment and save confirmation page

Eligibility criteria
The minimum age limit for applying for PO is 21 years while upper age limit is 30 years. However, there is relaxation in upper age limit for reserved category candidates.
Educational qualification is Graduation in any discipline. However, those in final year of Graduation can also apply.
Pay Package
The SBI POs will be eligible for a pay package of 23700-980/7-30560-1145/2-32850-1310/7-42020. The starting basic pay offered to SBI POs is Rs 27,620, which includes 4 advance increments.
Probationary officers (POs) are also eligible for various allowances such as DA, HRA or Lease rental, CCA, Medical benefits and others.
