New Delhi: Veteran actor Akhil Mishra, who is well known for playing the character of Librarian Dubey in Aamir’s 2009 blockbuster 3 Idiots, lost his life in an unfortunate accident on Thursday.
As per the reports, the actor got critically injured after slipping while working in his Kitchen. Later, he was found lying unconscious on the floor and was immediately rushed to hospital where he took his last breath at the age of 58.
Akhil’s wife Suzanne Bernert, who was on a shoot in Hyderabad during the time of the incident, was shocked and immediately rushed back home after hearing the news of his sad demise. She reportedly said, “My heart is broken and my second half is gone.” The late actor’s body is now sent for postmortem while his family continues to grieve over their loss.
Other than his exceptional acting in 3 Idiots, Akhil Mishra also won over the fans’ hearts with his remarkable work in a number of movies including Don, My Father, Kamla ki Maut Well Done Abba and Gandhi. He has also been a part of numerous television shows like Uttran, Udaan, Shrimaan, Hatim and CID.

Akhil is survived by his German love lady Suzzane Bernet with whom he tied the knot in February 2009. The actor also married her once again with Hindu rituals in September 2011.
Post their marriage, the couple featured together in a number of movies and shows including Karm, Door Darshan’s drama Mera Dil Deewana” and Mishra’s self-director short film Majnu ki Juliet (2019). Speaking about Akhil’s love for her, Suzanne, in a recent interview recalled how the actor almost kept his career and professional life at stake in order to help her learn Hindi.
