Aamir Khan starrer Laal Singh Chaddha trending on Twitter; Know the reason why

Netizens have been sharing ticket reservation screenshots showing that only a few seats have been booked for the movie which is way less than what was expected.

New Delhi: Aamir Khan starrer Laal Singh Chaddha will premiere on the silver screen on August 11. Along with Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor will be sharing the screen after a long hiatus. Both have been actively promoting their film with high expectations.

Just one day left for the release of the film, advance booking has already started. However, things are not upto the mark with netizens demanding a boycott of the movie. The hashtag ‘LaalSinghChaddha’ has been trending on Twitter since morning with people expressing their thoughts on the movie’s advance booking.

Netizens have been sharing ticket reservation screenshots showing that only a few seats have been booked for the movie which is way less than what was expected. Along with Laal Singh Chaddha, a boycott of the movie has also been trending over Twitter owing to Aamir Khan’s controversial “India’s growing intolerance” statements he made in the past. Besides, Kareena’s controversial statements from the past have also been dug up by haters.

Take a look at how netizens are reacting to the movie:

This is not the first time the movie is facing hate from netizens. Previously, on boycott hashtag trending, Aamir Khan spoke to the media and urged his fans to watch the film. He stated, “Yes, I feel sad. Also, I feel sad that some of the people who are saying this, in their hearts, they believe that I am someone who doesn’t like India. In their hearts, they believe, but it is untrue. I really love the country… That’s how I am. It is rather unfortunate that some people feel that way.”

Laal Singh Chaddha is an official Hindi remake of the Hollywood classic ‘Forrest Gump’ which starred Tom Hanks in the lead role. Apart from Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor, the movie will also star Naga Chaitanya and Mona Singh in pivotal roles.
