Dil Chahta Hai, Farhan Akhtar’s first film as a filmmaker, was a huge hit upon its 2001 release and changed the face of Indian cinema forever.

In addition to showcasing a new perspective on friendship, Dil Chahta Hai permanently altered the way young people adorned and lived in the early 2000s. The film’s beautiful settings, particularly the breathtaking scenery of Goa, and the unique personalities of the people made it visually appealing.

Farhan Akhtar, who is both an actor and a filmmaker, visited the set of his directorial debut, Dil Chahta Hai, in Goa to relive the day. He shared an Instagram photo of himself striking a pose at the Chapora Fort.

Additionally, Farhan reminded his admirers that this was his first visit to the place in more than 20 years. Seated on the wall at twilight, Farhan is joined by filmmaker Shujaat Saudagar in the image. While smiling at Shujaat, who was leaning against a wall, Farhan turned his back to the water. A grey jacket, T-shirt, blue jeans, and brown shoes were Farhan’s attire. Shujaat wore casual clothing.

Farhan shared and captioned the post, “First time back at Chapora Fort since we filmed Akash, Sid and Sameer talking about life. That was 23 years ago.

A lot has changed but the warm, sea-salt infused Goan air remains the same.

Some places are just magical. ♥️.”
