New Delhi: Bollywood’s renowned actress Kajol has been lately gearing up for her upcoming web series The Trial- Pyaar, Kanoon, Dhoka.
However, it’s not just her upcoming courtroom drama that has got the actress into the headlines as she is also being discussed lately for her recently made remarks about Indian political leaders.
In her controversial statement made in a recent interview, the 48-year-old actress spoke about Indian politics and said “You have political leaders who don’t even have an educational Background. You are being fooled by so many leaders who don’t have any viewpoint which education does gives you. ”
School dropouts with fluent English will never acknowledge that being traditions are no hinderance to growth. Westernisation isn’t the same as modernisation & English can only be a metric for literacy,not education.

Internet fumes over Kajol’s remarks
Soon after the video of Kajol’s interview went viral, netizens jumped in to give the actress a reality check as they trolled her by reminding her of her own educational background.
While some took a dig at the actress calling her a “school dropout”, others criticised her for her harsh remarks about the leaders of the country.

Kajol’s Clarification
Following her trolling and criticism all over social media, Kajol came up with her clarification on Saturday as she took to her Twitter and wrote, “I was merely making a point about education and its importance. My intention was not to demean any political leaders, we have some great leaders guiding the country on the right path.”

Kajol on work front
On the professional front, Kajol made her last appearance on the screens in Lust Stories 2 where she was seen in a bold before never seen before avatar.
She will be next seen in her upcoming show The Trail which is all set to be dropped on the streaming platform Disney+ Hotstar on July 14.
Besides The Trail, the Lust Stories actress will also make her appearance in Kanika Dhillon and Kirti Sanon’s Joint production “Do Patti.”
