Honey Singh manhandled at a club in South Delhi; complaint lodged

First Information Report (FIR) was filed by the Delhi Police, based on the complaint registered by Singh and his lawyer Ishaan Mukherjee.

New Delhi: Singer Hirdesh Singh, also known by his stage name, Honey Singh was allegedly manhandled by a group of four to five unidentified people on March 27 at a club in South Delhi. Following the incident, the singer and his lawyer registered a complaint, accusing the unidentified people of “nuisance, threat, and misbehaviour.”

First Information Report (FIR) was filed by the Delhi Police, based on the complaint registered by Singh and his lawyer Ishaan Mukherjee. According to the police, the incident took place at Skol Club in South Extension-II on 27 March.

The FIR stated Singh was performing in the evenings of March 26 and 27, when a group of men stormed the stage.

Singh stated on the FIR that four to five men started acting badly and disturbed the event. They showed beer to the audience and pushed the performers on the stage. Suddenly, a person in a checked shirt hold Singh’s hand and started pulling him to the front. Singh tried avoiding the person, however, he kept on challenging and threatening him.

Meanwhile, Singh noticed that the person was armed. Another man in a red shirt was making a video of the incident saying, “Honey Singh ko Bhaga Diya.”

As per the report by Indian Express, the FIR stated, “I was trying to avoid it but the person kept on challenging and threatening me. I also observed that he was armed. Another person in a red shirt was making a video and said ‘Bhaga Diya Honey Singh ko’.”

Owing to the disturbing circumstances, all the performers, including Singh were evacuated from the stage and departed the venue in the middle of the performance.

A case has been registered against the culprits under sections wrongful restraint, criminal intimidation, voluntarily causing hurt and others, the police stated.
