
New Delhi: Jackie Shroff, who was born and raised in Mumbai, made his Hindi film debut in 1982 with the film Swami Dada. He rose to prominence after starring in the 1983 film Hero as the lead. The crowd adored not only the film’s soundtrack, but Jackie Shroff as well, who wowed them with his magnificent performance and charm. To get to where he is now, Jackie Shroff had to work really hard and break into the film industry with no prior experience in the field. After being turned down for previous jobs, Jackie Shroff began working as a travel agent for a local company to support himself and his family. During that time, an advertising agent noticed this handsome young man and inquired about his interest in modelling. Jackie then went to the agency and completed a picture session, which catapulted him into the modelling industry.

When Subhash Ghai cast him as the lead in Hero, Jackie became an instant celebrity, and he went on to feature in a number of other films, including Ram Lakhan, Tridev, Parinda, Saudagar, Angaar, Sapne Sajan Ke, Gardish, and Khalnayak in 1942. Rangeela, Agnisakshi, Border, Shapath, and others are among the films. Fans adore him not only for his acting in his films, but also for his warm and friendly demeanour.
Jackie Shroff married his longtime fiancée Ayesha Shroff in 1987 after a successful career in films. Tiger Shroff is the couple’s son, while Krishna Shroff is the couple’s daughter.
Jackie Shroff, born Jaikishan Kakubhai Shroff, now lives with his family in a luxury 8-BHK sea-facing flat in Mumbai.
