New Delhi: September is bound to come as a blockbuster month for Indian cinema as Shah Rukh Khan will be returning to the big screens for the second time this year.

Following Pathan’s monumental success, the King is all set to slam the box office once again with his second release of the year Jawan on September 7. Although the movie is expected to get a smooth box office run for its first two weeks, it will face a tough challenge from its third week when Pan-Indian superstar Prabhas’ will arrive at the BO with his Magnum opus Saalar part 1 – Ceasefire on 29 September.

Now, with both the mega movies battling neck to neck at the American box office, fans are eagerly waiting to see which of the two superstars will prevail over the other.

Prabhas vs SRK: The battle of stardom

While the Atlee directorial Jawan got its advance booking open around a month prior to its release, Prabhas’ Salar opened the ticket counter for its fans way too early by commencing the advance booking more than 35 days ahead of its release.

Although both Jawan and Salar are making bumper advance sales at the American BO, Prabhas’ movie has done some unimaginable and surprised everybody by beating the Mega Star Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan by a significant margin.

As per a tweet shared by film distributor Venky Reviews, Prabhas Magnum Opus has sold over 8100 tickets worth ₹ 1.92  in 222 locations through advance booking while Shah Rukh’s Pathan is trailing behind with a collection of ₹ 1.52 crores through the sale of 1180 tickets in 407 locations.

However, many are claiming that Salar minting more money despite selling fewer tickets than Jawan is because of its super expensive ticket prices. While an average ticket for SRK’s Jawan costs about ₹ 1200 in the US, the average price for Prabhas Salar is about ₹ 2300 per ticket.

Jawan to get more shows than Saalar

Despite lagging way behind Prabhas’ movie in terms of advance sales collection, Bollywood’s King has a clear edge over the Adipurush actor when it comes to gaining shows as Jawan has obtained over 1700 shows across 407 locations in the US which is way more than Salar’s 643 shows in 223 locations.

Nevertheless, even though it is hard to predict which of the two heavyweights will end up clocking more money at the Box office, we can safely say that both of them will shatter numerous records and dominate the box office for a long time.
