New Delhi: Metropolitan Magistrate Court, Andheri issues a bailable warrant against actor Kangana Ranaut in a defamation case filed against her by lyricist Javed Akhtar. Court issues the warrant after she failed to appear before it despite being summoned.
In November 2020, Javed Akhtar filed a complaint against Kangana Ranaut over her statements made in an interview aired by Republic TV with Arnab Goswami.

In his complaint before the Andheri metropolitan magistrate, Akhtar alleged thatKangana Ranaut dragged his name in TV interviews after the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. The complaint also said that Kangana had falsely claimed that the noted Bollywood writer threatened her to keep silent about her alleged relationship with actor Hrithik Roshan.
