New Delhi: As Christmas carols echo in the cold December nights, here are some picks for you to look out for and binge. Not your typical Christmas movies and shows, these are for the ones who look for thrill and gore or even unabashed humour during the holiday season.

1. Glass Onion- A Knives Out Mystery

Release Date: 23rd December 2022

Releasing on: Netflix India.

Starring our very own James Bond, Daniel Craig, Glass Onion is the classic whodunit you need to add some spice to the holly jolly Christmas train. The story follows a tech billionaire Miles Bron played by the talented Edward Norton and his friends to Bron’s private Greek island. Things go haywire when one of them turns up dead and Detective Benoit Blanc played by Craig is put to the case. A mystery of probable Poirot-in capacity, we can’t wait to watch Glass Onion- A Knives Out Mystery on 23rd December on Netflix India.

2. The Witcher- Blood Origin

Release Date: 25th December 2022

Releasing on: Netflix India.

A prequel to Henry Cavill starring The Witcher, The Witcher- Blood Origin is based 1200 years prior and according to the trailer shows the “Elven Golden Era”. A limited series of 4 episodes, the show revolves around 7 outcasts in the elf world that unite in a quest against an unstoppable power. Promising the same level of drama and action, The Witcher- Blood Origin is a must watch especially if you watched and liked The Witcher. But, even if you didn’t, you can easily binge this series coming on 25th December on Netflix India.

3. Vir Das- Landing

Release Date: 26th December 2022

Releasing on: Netflix India.

The voice of the millennials Vir Das comes with his fourth Netflix stand-up special and we can’t keep calm. Tickling the intellectual funny bone, Vir Das in his new special ‘Landing’ talks about his childhood in India, perils of outrage and finding his feet in the world. Though oh-so controversial in most things he says, you can hate Vir Das but you can’t ignore him. Catch him with new stories and funny anecdotes on 26th December on Netflix.

4. White Noise

Release Date: 30th December

Releasing on: Netflix India.

An absurdist comedy-drama, White Noise stars Adam Driver, Greta Gerwig, Don Cheadle and others. Based on a 1985 Don DeLillo novel of the same name, the story revolves around a college professor called Jack Gladney (Driver) and his family. Their comfortable suburban life is upended when a nearby chemical leak causes “The Airborne Toxic Event” releasing a noxious black over the region that forces the Gladney family to evacuate. A sullen story, shown from an offbeat, dark comedic lens is the unexpected way to end 2022 but one we can’t wait to try. White Noise releases on 30th December on Netflix India.
