Saregama changes lyrics of controversial ‘Madhuban’ song featuring Sunny Leone

The term ‘Madhuban’ in the song will reportedly be replaced with ‘Panghat’ in the new song, which will take over the old song across all the platforms in the next three days

New Delhi: Music Label Saregama has finally changed the controversial lyrics of the ‘Madhuban’ featuring actor Sunny Leone on Monday.

The change in the lyrics came after Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra alleged that the song has hurt the religious sentiments of the Hindu community.

Mishra on Sunday had warned singers of the song – Shaarib and Toshi, along with Sunny Leone, who stars in the song to apologize and withdraw their song Madhuban within three days or else face action.

“Some vidharmis are constantly hurting Hindu sentiments. The video ‘Madhuban me Radhika nache’ is one such condemnable attempt. I am warning Sunny Leone ji, Shaarib, and Toshi ji to understand. If they don’t remove the song after apologizing in three days, then we will take action against them,” Mishra told reporters when asked about the song.

Saregama, which had released the track on its YouTube channel on December 22 said in a recent statement, “In light of the recent feedback & respecting the sentiments of our fellow countrymen, we will be changing the lyrics & the name of the song Madhuban. The new song will replace the old one across all platforms over the next 3 days”.

The term ‘Madhuban’ in the song will reportedly be replaced with ‘Panghat’ in the new song, which will take over the old song across all the platforms in the next three days.
