You know why Ranveer Singh is facing legal action in Jayeshbhai Jordaar?

He also expects that the scene will be ‘removed due to the promotion of forbidden acts.’

New Delhi:  The trailer for Ranveer Singh’s Jayeshbhai Jordaar was released a few days ago and received a favourable response from the public. Whereas the fans patiently await the film’s release, it has now found itself in legal trouble due to the trailer’s illustration of a prenatal sex-determination scene. In the film, the Gully Boy star plays Jayeshbhai Patel, a Gujarati man married to Mudra Patel (played by Shalini Pandey), who is struggling for the life of his unborn female child.

The Delhi Court has challenged Jayeshbhai Jordaar over the sequences in the trailer, as per Live Law. The portrayal of prenatal sex identification is statutorily banned,’ as per a petition submitted by counsel Pawan Prakash Pathak. He also hopes that the scene will be ‘removed on the basis that it promotes illegal acts.’

Moreover, the comedy-drama movie will be released in theatres on May 13th of this year. Divyang Thakkar, an actor-turned-director, makes his directorial debut with this film, which is produced by Aditya Chopra and Maneesh Sharma under the brand of Yash Raj Films. Along with Ranveer and Shalini, Boman Irani, Ratna Pathak Shah, and Deeksha Joshi play prominent parts in the film.

Other than that, Ranveer Singh has a number of fascinating projects in the works. Starring Alia Bhatt, Dharmendra, Shabana Azmi, and Jaya Bachchan, he will next be featured in Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. In addition to Bajirao Mastani, the actor had roles in Cirkus by Rohit Shetty and Anniyan, a Hindi version of the Tamil film.
