New Delhi: The Indian Air Force has released details on the new recruitment plan, ‘Agnipath’. The detailed brief issued by the Air Force lays down the various aspects of the scheme, including eligibility criteria, selection process and benefits.
The Indian Air Force listed the eligibility, educational qualification, medical standards, assessment, leave, remuneration, life insurance cover etc among many other factors.

Earlier, the Home and Defence ministries announced 10 per cent quotas each in jobs for ‘Agnipath’ recruits after their four-year tenure in the armed forces.
Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said that the PSUs under his housing and petroleum ministries are also working on plans to induct ‘Agniveers’.
The Agnipath scheme was announced by the Central government on Tuesday, is intended to streamline the 13-lakh strong armed forces in India and reduce the defence pension bill which has been a source of major headache for years.
