Gandhi seeks two extension
The probe agency issued the first notice for appearance to the 75-year-old leader on June 8. However, the Congress leader sought an extension as she tested positive for Covid. As a result, the second summons was issued for June 23 but the senior Congress leader again sought another extension.
Congress plans nationwide protest tomorrow
Congress leaders have also planned to hold demonstrations across India on July 21 to show solidarity with Sonia Gandhi. Sharing the development, Congress leader Jairam Ramesh said, ”Tomorrow as the political vendetta unleashed by the Modi-Shah duo against our top leadership continues, the entire Congress party across the country will demonstrate its collective solidarity with Smt. Sonia Gandhi in a most telling manner.”
