New Delhi: The construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya is set to kick off a makeover of the temple town. Ayodhya is set to become bigger as UP govt has decided to merge 343 more villages with the temple town.
An international airport is also part of proposed modern township Navya Ayodhya, which is set to built at estimated cost of Rs 640 crore.
Under the mega makeover plan of CM Yogi, the city will witness renovation of all religious, mythological and historical sites under its 84 Kosi Parikrama route.
A mega beautification drive will be launched under which 84 and 14 kosi Parikrama and all such places coming in Panchkosi Parikrama, along with shelters for the pilgrims will be renovated. ‘kuccha’ routes will also be retained for allowing pilgrims to walk on foot. A separate action plan has also been prepared for the development of major sites like Makhauda.
The look and feel from the ghat to the road and railway station will get a complete makeover. There will be separate four lane roads connecting it with the airport. Apart from Navya Ayodhya as the coordinated model of Vedic and modern city, the grandest and divine temple of Lord Shri Ram, the tallest statue of Lord Shri Rama, the world’s tallest statue, is set to leave an indelible impression on the people of the country, who have seen their worship there. A lot will happen. Some work is in progress and many are in the pipeline.
The railway station will be beautified and expanded according to future needs. A four-lane road from Ayodhya to Sultanpur National Highway NH 330 to the airport is to be renovated.
The National Highways Authority is making a proposal for a bypass from Ayodhya Dham from Sohawal to Vikramjot. The widening of the four-lane road from Rae Bareli to Ayodhya is also to be done at a cost of about 1500 crore rupees. To maintain the avidity and cleanliness of Saryu, modern sewage treatment plants will be installed there.
The work for sewerage and drinking water under the Smart City Mission is being separately taken up in Ayodhya.
