New Delhi: A day after many Trinamool Congress joined the Bharatiya Janata Party, a reversal of sorts was witnessed today.
BJP MP Saumitra Khan’s wife Sujata Mondal Khan is the president of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha and Member of Parliament from Bishnupur in West Bengal.
BJP lawmaker Saumitra Khan has decided to send a divorce notice to Sujata Mondal Khan.
After joining the TMC, Sujata Mondal Khan said the BJP does not give due respect and honour to people.
“Now there are only opportunist and tainted people on the top. There was no respect in the BJP for me,” Sujata Mondal Khan said.
Asked about the reaction of her husband, who is also the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) state unit chief, she said it was up to him to decide his future course of action.

“I hope he would realise one day. Who knows he might be back in the TMC one day,” the newly inducted leader of the Bengal’s ruling party said.
Responding to Sujata Mondal Khan switching over to the TMC ahead of the West Bengal Assembly elections, Saumitra Khan blamed the Trinamool Congress for breaking his family. He also said his wife was respected as a BJP MP’s wife.
