New Delhi: Boycott Qatar Airways has become a top Twitter trend on Monday after so many people started tweeting their views under the hashtag. Many netizens also requested other if they support Nupur Sharma then they should boycott the Doha-based airline.
Notably, Nupur Sharma is a former spokesperson of the national ruling party, the BJP. Her designation was taken down by the party over her controversial remarks on Prophet Muhammad during a recent National TV debate.
However, she also issued an apology, ”It was never my intention to hurt anyone’s religious feelings.”
It is reported that Sharma said there are certain things from Islamic religious books that could be mocked by people while attending a TV debate after the ”shivling’ found inside ‘ the Gaynvapi mosque. According to Sharma, Muslims are mocking the Hind faith by calling ”shivling” a fountain.

People came in support of the BJP leader Nupur Sharma after Muslim countries such as Qatar, Iran, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia condemned the controversial remarks made by Sharma. The latest reaction came from Saudi Arabia on Monday.

On Sunday, the Gulf nations also summoned the Indian Ambassador to express their strong protest against the remark.
