CM Yogi lambasts previous govts over recovery of Rs 177 crore in IT raids

New Delhi: Unleashing a caustic attack on the previous governments for rampant corruption, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday said that, “After ruling the state for five years and then, out of power for five years, “unaccounted cash” of Rs 200 crore is being recovered from the houses in IT raids. Where is this money from? This clearly indicates when they were in power, they looted people.”

The Chief Minister said this while inaugurating and laying the foundation stone of 11 development projects worth Rs 230 crore related to cultural complex, construction of ghats, tourism development in former Prime Minister Late Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s ancestral village Bateshwar Dham, Agra.

Attacking on the previous government, the Chief Minister said that these people gave the money of Sanskrit schools for the ‘kabristan’. “After the formation of our government, a survey was conducted that why there are no teachers in Sanskrit schools, then it was found that there was insufficient funds. We decided to post teachers in Sanskrit schools and a hostel should be run by the Ashram system.”

Taking a dig further at the opposition, the CM said that the money of the poor was not used for their welfare. Today, Prime Minister Modi is providing housing to every poor person. The free food grains could be given to the poor earlier as well under the Anna Yojana, but their intentions were not so. Today the poor are getting the benefit of Anna Yojana.

Together the central and state governments are giving the benefits of all the schemes to every section of the society, the CM maintained.

CM launches 11 development projects worth Rs 230 crore in Bateshwar, Agra

Invoking the motivational words of Atal, the CM said, “Chhoti soch se koi bada nahi ban sakta.. He was a man of principles and said ‘Siddhantviheen rajneeti maut ka phanda hoti hai’.

This Bateshwar Dham is sacred. The government is making efforts are being made to take this Bateshwar Dham to new heights of development by launching several projects. “Atal ji worked for the public for six decades, and even his opponents were also convinced with his work.”
Speaking further, he said that today the government distributed 60,000 smartphones, tablets in Lucknow on the occasion of Sushasan Diwas, marking the birth anniversary of Late Atal Bihari Vajpayee. This is to be given to one crore youth. The Central and state government are running many schemes in the name of Atal ji.

Today, a scientific center has been built in Lucknow in the name of Atal ji. A huge statue of Atal ji has been installed outside Lok Bhavan. Named the largest stadium Ekana in Lucknow after Atal Ji. The government will develop Fatehpur Sikri, Bah and Bateshwar Dham as per the sentiments of Atal Ji. It was Atal Ji who had given the Antyodaya scheme for providing ration to the poor today, highways were conceived by Atal Ji.

Atal Bihari Vajpayee cultural complex to be built in Bateshwar Dham

A cultural complex is being constructed at Bateshwar Dham in the name of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. For this, an amount of 1336.61 lakh has been approved. This will have a multipurpose hall and library on the ground floor. There is an office, female and male dormitory on the first floor. The construction work of the building is in progress. The work of the pedestal and statue is in progress.
