New Delhi: Local Congress leaders & workers enter into a brawl at party workers conference in Jashpur after party’s ex-dist pres Pawan Agarwal was pushed away from podium & stopped from speaking. He had started speaking on Min TS Singh Deo when the incident took place
Pawan Agarwal, while speaking to news agency ANI after the incident said, “TS Singh Deo waited for 2.5 yrs (to become CM) & now Bhupesh Baghel must vacate his seat. When there was no Congress govt here, Deo & Baghel worked together. It’s due to them that Congress govt came to power. When I was saying this, people of Kunkuri MLA attacked me.

The infighting among the Chhattisgarh Congress have been attributed to Deo’s demands that he should be given top chairs according to a ration formula. Deo have publicly acknowledged to implement the rotational CM policy.
“It is a big decision and the high command will take into account several factors. People are talking about the 2.5-2.5 years formula. Even 2.5 years have elapsed. This is not a new thing. This has been discussed in the public domain”, Deo had stated.
