Drone spotted over Indian Mission in Islamabad, on same day of Jammu incident; India raises matter with Islamabad

The incident happened during the weekend on Saturday, apparently the day when the drone was used to carry out terror attack at the Indian air force base in Jammu.

New Delhi: A drone was spotted over the Indian high commission in Islamabad over the weekend. The matter has been raised by the Indian officials with their counterparts.

India has taken up the matter and raised it with the Pakistani authorities regarding the drone movement.

This is the first time such an incident involving a drone being spotted inside the Indian mission in Pakistan has happened.

The incident happened during the weekend on Saturday, apparently the day when the drone was used to carry out terror attack at the Indian air force base in Jammu.

Pakistan-Indian-High-Commission

Indian air force in a release on 27th June said, “Two low-intensity explosions were reported early Sunday morning in the technical area of Jammu Air Force Station. One caused minor damage to the roof of a building while the other exploded in an open area.”

This morning also, drone activity was observed at International Border in Arnia sector. BSF said that alert troops fired at the drone while it was trying to cross the International Border in the Arnia sector.

“Due to this firing, the drone returned immediately. It was meant for carrying out surveillance of the area,” the BSF said.
