
New Delhi: Supreme Court on Wednesday refused to stay the floor test ordered in the Maharashtra assembly tomorrow.

The order came after the four hours of hearing on a plea of Shiva Sena Chief whip Prabhu challenging Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari’s direction of floor test to Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray.
Following the order, the floor test will be conducted on the same date directed by the Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari, June 30.

After the order on the floor test, the Apex court started the hearing the petitions of jailed NCP leaders Nawab Malik and Anil Deshmukh who asked the permission to vote in the floor test tomorrow.
Soon after the hearing, the Court allowed them to participate in the proceeding of the floor test in the assembly.
