Here are the names of 20 Indian bravehearts who laid their lives while serving the motherland. They made supreme sacrifice while safeguarding the frontiers.

New Delhi: In the violent face-off with Chinese forces at Galwan valley near the Line of Actual Control (LAC), 20 Indian Army jawans including a Colonel lost their lives. Chinese side also suffered heavy casualties with reports suggesting killing of 45 PLA troops.

This comes after Indian Army Chief General Manoj Mukund Naravane on Saturday said that the entire situation along the borders with China is under control and the process of disengagement has started.

The names of the personnel are — Col Bikumalla Santosh Babu, Nb Sub Nuduram Soren, Nb Sub Mandeep Singh, Nb Sub (Dvr) Satnam Singh-Gurdaspur, Hav (Gnr) K Palani, Hav Sunil Kumar, Hav Bipul Roy, NK (NA) Deepak Kumar, Sep Rajesh Orang, Sep Kundan Kumar Ojha, Sep Ganesh Ram, Sep Chandrakanta Pradhan, Sep Ankush, Sep Gurbinder, Sep Gurtej Singh, Sep Chandan Kumar, Sep Kundan Kumar, Sep Aman Kumar, Sep Jai Kishor Singh and Sep Ganesh Hansda.

4 soldiers critical after clashes

Meanwhile, there are also reports of 4 Indian soldiers being critical after the bloody clashes at border.

In a statement last evening, the army said that 17 more critically injured were “exposed to sub-zero temperatures… (and) succumbed to their injuries”.

35 casualties on Chinese side including Commanding Officer

Meanwhile, the US Intelligence has said that the Chinese side suffered 35 casualties including dead and injured.

A Commanding Officer of the Chinese Unit was among the casualties on the Chinese side, new agency reported quoting govt sources.

The increased movement of the Chinese helicopter at the face-off location showed that and Chinese suffered a significant number of casualties in the violent face-off.

“The assessment is based on the number of Chinese soldiers evacuated from the face-off location on stretchers and subsequently by ambulance vehicles on the track along the Galwan river, as also the increased Chinese helicopter movement,” said sources.
