New Delhi: Dosa, a popular South Indian dish has become a talking point on Twitter with much debating use of ‘egg water’ in preparing it and therefore hurting the sentiments of vegetarian eaters as well as people of religious beliefs.
In the midst of controversy is the Earth lounge at Kochi airport. A Twitter user named Manish Jain tweeted that the eating outlet is playing with the beliefs of a particular community by using egg water in baking the popular food item Dosa.
If you are in Chochi Kindly be aware of Airport Lounge named as Earth Lounge. They Simply plays with Religious Belief, Where they use Egg water to bake South India Food such as Dosa. When asked they told its As per Standard. When asked for Manual they denied to share.@CGH_Earth

Sharing his experience, he shared a post about his distressing experience. He said that he saw restaurant workers sprinkling egg water on the dosa pan and when he objected, he was told that it’s standard practice. When he demanded a manual about the practice, he was denied the same.
Twitter gets buzzing with ‘Dosa bytes’.
Lot many users are replying to the Twitter user, whose post sparked off Dosa debate on Twitter. Many noted South personalities replied to him and reasoned that it was cold water & not egg water being sprinkled on the dosa pan and it was done for proper baking.
Some got offended over a wrong description of Kochi as chichi while others had a fun time egging their views in between.
Manish, thanda pani isn’t the same as anda pani. Water is sprinkled on the dosa pan to cool the surface down so that the batter has time to settle and the dosa cooks properly. Why would anyone give you a free egg for the price of a vegetarian dosa? Makes no sense!
