Is egg water used in making Dosa? A tweet about Kochi airport lounge gets Twitter talking

New Delhi: Dosa, a popular South Indian dish has become a talking point on Twitter with much debating use of ‘egg water’ in preparing it and therefore hurting the sentiments of vegetarian eaters as well as people of religious beliefs.

In the midst of controversy is the Earth lounge at Kochi airport. A Twitter user named Manish Jain tweeted that the eating outlet is playing with the beliefs of a particular community by using egg water in baking the popular food item Dosa.


Sharing his experience, he shared a post about his distressing experience. He said that he saw restaurant workers sprinkling egg water on the dosa pan and when he objected, he was told that it’s standard practice. When he demanded a manual about the practice, he was denied the same.
