You will be left alone by the time Bengal goes to polls: Amit Shah warns Mamata

Suvendu Adhikari, who recently resigned from TMC joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday in presence of Amit Shah. Home Minister is likely to address the public rally soon. 

New Delhi: Stepping up the offensive against Mamata Banerjee-led government, Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday said in coming days, more TMC leaders will quit the party and the Chief Minister will be left alone in the party by the time elections come.

Amit Shah also slammed Mamata government over spate of political violence in the state, in which many BJP workers have been killed.

“Why are so many people leaving Trinamool Congress? Because of the misrule, corruption and nepotism of Mamata Banerjee. Didi, this is just the beginning. By the time elections come, you will be left all alone,” he said.

Besides Suvendu Adhikari, 9 other MLAs from various parties and Trinamool MP Sunil Mondal joined the BJP in Mr Shah’s presence.
