Modi remembers mother, says couldn’t meet & take her blessings but many mothers blessed me today (VIDEO)

“Normally I meet my mother on my birthday and seek her blessings; today so many mothers of Madhya Pradesh have blessed me,” said Modi while addressing a large gathering of women.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi turned emotional on his 72nd birthday today as he couldn’t visit his mother in Gandhinagar and take blessings, a custom he follows every year.

Addressing a convention of women self-help groups (SHGs) in Madhya Pradesh’s Sheopur, PM Modi recalled his birthday visits to mother, touching her feet and seeking blessings but today’s packed schedule didn’t allow him to do the same.

However, he said that he was thankful that lakhs of women are blessing him on the occasion & his mother would be pleased to see this.

“Normally I meet my mother on my birthday and seek her blessings; today so many mothers of Madhya Pradesh have blessed me,” said Modi while addressing a large gathering of women.

Prime Minister has a packed schedule today. Earlier in the morning, he released the Namibian cheetas in the Kuno National Park of Madhya Pradesh and also urged the countrymen to contribute in growth of wild habitat.

Later, addressing the women of Self-Help groups (SHGs), PM Modi said that his mother would be highly pleased to see the outpouring of blessings from women.

Saluting the women prowess, PM Modi said that there is a massive difference in India of last century and the present Naya Bharat in terms of women power, Modi said.

“In the New India, women are flying their flags high from Panchayat Bhavan to Rashtrapati Bhavan,” PM Modi said.
