New Delhi: Rajasthan continues to remain in the grip of Coronavirus, as fresh Covid-cases continue to rise in numbers.
Nagaur MP Hanuman Beniwal has become the latest high-profile person to be tested positive for Coronavirus.
Convenor of the Rashtriya Loktantrik Party (RLP), the BJP affiliate in Rajasthan, Beniwal in his tweet today shared the information and appealed that whosoever has come in contact with him in the last 10 days should go for self-quarantine.
“I got my Covid-19 test done after a few symptoms developed and my report has tested positive. However, my wife Kanika’s report is negative. I appeal to everyone who came in touch with me in the last 10 days to get themselves quarantined and tested,” he tweeted.

“Shall be present to serve the public again after recovering with the help of your wishes, god’s blessings and doctor’s treatment,” he said in another tweet.
Beniwal alleged Vasundhara-Gehlot ‘link’ amid political turmoil
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ally Hanuman Beniwal, who heads the Rashtriya Loktantrik Party (RLP) leveled big allegations even as the state was witnessing huge political turbulence. he accused former Rajasthan chief minister Vasundhara Raje of rallying Congress lawmakers in support of chief minister Ashok Gehlot, whose government is battling a rebellion from his former deputy, Sachin Pilot.
“Relatives close to the MLAs [members of legislative assembly] told us that they were initially with Pilot but Raje called them and asked them to distance themselves from Pilot,” he said.
Beniwal had sought Covid-19 test for Rahul, Sonia
In March this year, the lawmaker reportedly demanded Covid-19 test for topmost Congress leaders Sonia and Rahul Gandhi.
Speaking in Parliament, the MP had said that since Italy was the worst affected country, both of them should undergo testing for Coronavirus. His demand had sparked political furore inside and outside the house.
