Omicron Thread in India: 16 students test positive for Covid-19 in Navi Mumbai school

As a result, the family members were tested for covid19 where the person with a travel history abroad came negative, while the son’s tested postive.

New Delhi: Despite Omicron thread in India, sixteen students have tested positive for covid19 in Navi Mumbai school, Maharashtra.

All the students who have tested positive are from classes 8th to 11th.

After this,  mass testing at the school is being conducted by the authorities, where over 600 students will be tested for coronavirus.

According to Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation, the father of one of the students studying in the school had returned to Inida from Qatar few days ago.

As a result, the family members were tested for covid19 where the person with a travel history abroad came negative, while the son’s tested postive.

Meanwhile, till date, a total of 40 patients infected with Omicron virus have been reported in the state including 14 in Mumbai, 10 in Pimpri Chinchwad, six in Pune rural, two in Pune Municipal Corporation, two each in Kalyan Dombivali and Osmanabad and one each in Latur, Buldhana, Nagpur and Vasai Virar.
