New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today spoke to cricketer Rishabh Pant’s mother on phone and enquired about his health.
According to reports, PM Modi called up Pant’s mother this evening and took stock of his health.
Team India’s star wicketkeeper-batter met with a horrific accident in the wee hours of Friday morning and is currently being treated at Dehradun’s Max hospital.
Earlier in the day, PM Modi tweeted about his ‘distress’ over the accident and also prayed for cricketer’s good health.

This come on back on back of PM Modi himself losing his mother. PM Modi’s mother Heeraben Modi died early this morning and was cremated in Gandhinagar today. PM Modi performed the last rites.
Pant suffered 2 cuts on his forehead, a ligament fracture in right knee and many bruises after he lost control of his Mercedes car and rammed into a road divider. The car subsequently bursted into flames, however, he was rescued in nick of time.
Uttarakhand Chief Minister has already announced that state government will bear full expense of cricketer’s treatment.
