New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Amrita Hospital at Faridabad in Haryana today. Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala and others were also present at the event.
PM Modi is on a one-day visit to Haryana and Punjab.
The hospital, which is being constructed at an estimated cost of around Rs. 6000 crores, will provide state-of-the-art healthcare facilities to the people of Faridabad and the entire NCR region.
The hospital which is managed by Mata Amritanandamayi Math, the super-speciality hospital will be equipped with over 2600 beds.

Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital and Research Centre
After this, PM Modi will be travelling to Mohali and dedicate ‘Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital and Research Centre’ to the Nation, at Mullanpur, New Chandigarh at around 02:15 PM.
Amrita Hospital has been built at a cost of over ₹660 crore by Tata Memorial Centre.
The purpose of Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital and Research Centre is to function like a ‘hub’ of cancer care and treatment in the region.
