Poverty-stricken Biharis fell for free Covid-19 vaccine: Cong leader’s shameful remark draws ire

Archana Dalmia’s offensive remark left the Twitterati agitated and infuriated. She received brickbats from plenty of Twitter users for shameless portrayal of Bihar residents.

New Delhi: Despite high-decibel campaign by Mahagathbandhan leaders Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav, Congress failed to hold on to its 2015 tally and is seen ending up at around 20 seats.

What makes it more worst that Left parties, almost wiped out from Bihar, are seen fetching seats closer to the grand old party. Facing such ignominy, Congress leaders are resorting to cheap rhetoric in a bid to save loss of face.

Making a highly objectionable remark, Congress’ grievance cell chairperson Archana Dalmia said that the people of Bihar have fallen for the free vaccine gimmick of the BJP.

Taking to her official Twitter handle, she said, “It seems like poverty-stricken Biharis have fallen for the free COVID-19 vaccine promise.”

Cong’s Udit Raj alleges EVM hacking

However, she is not the only Congress leader to blame extraneous factors for party’s poor show. Congress leader Udit Raj insinuated EVM hacking in the elections.

“When the direction of the objects going towards Mars and Moon can be controlled from the Earth then why can’t the EVMs be hacked?” the Congress leader asked on Twitter (roughly translated from Hindi). In another tweet, he questioned, “if the elections were held using EVMs in the US then was there a possibility of Trump’s defeat?”
