Tandav Row: Those who make films and web series against Hindu Sanatan Dharma should be hanged, says Hindu Mahasabha

Hindu Mahasabha chief Swami Chakrapani Maharaj has asked for strict action against the Tandav filmmaker.

New Delhi: Days after the release of Saif Ali Khan’s Amazon Prime Video  series have sparked controversy. It is said that Director Ali Abbas Zafar’s new web show Tandav has offended Hindu religious sentiments.

In the first episode itself of the 9-episode series, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayub is seen essaying the role of Hindu God Lord Shiva in the millennial world in a theatre.

Here is what Swami Chakrapani Maharaj said:

Taking controversy a step further, Swami Chakrapani Maharaj, the national president of the All India Hindu Mahasabha, has also released a statement on this matter. They have demanded strict action on such a web series. He said that those who make films and web series against Hindu Sanatan Dharma should be hanged.

He said, “Humiliation of Hindu Gods and Goddesses through Tandava web series is Bollywood jihad. After all, why are films and web series being made against Hindu Sanatan Dharma even after the Modi government has a majority in the center? It is not being demanded that there should be a blasphemy law from Parliament at the national level to take strict action against such people and punish the deities and those who insult Hindu Sanatan Dharma.
